This class is perfect for you if you’re brand new to wheel throwing or you want to brush up on your basics! Over the course of two months, students will learn about the ceramic process from start to finish: wedging, throwing, trimming, firing, and glazing. In this class we will focus on the fundamentals of wheel throwing like centering, pulling walls, and shaping the clay into basic forms like cylinders and bowls. Our small class size of six people will allow our instructors, Sheilagh and Alana, to offer everyone personalized support and attention. The class costs $500 and includes access to open studio hours between 9am and 9pm to practice in addition to the weekly 2.5 hour class. One 25lb bag of clay will be provided. This class is all about growing in your skills and confidence.
