Offerings

At Grounded Earth, we offer a variety of ways to get involved. While we are a small studio, we are excited to welcome folks as studio members, students, and guests. In an effort to accommodate varying levels of access, we offer many of our opportunities on a sliding scale. Please select the option that most accurately reflects your capacity.

Membership

  • As a member of our studio, you would play a vital role in nurturing the supportive and inclusive community at the heart of our mission. Your consistent presence and participation help bring our shared vision to life: a vibrant community centered around ceramics, community, and personal well-being.

Please note: membership applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and as space becomes available, we will invite folks for an interview.

    • 24 hour access: Members are allowed to come and go freely, with the exception of times the studio is closed for workshops and classes.

    • Dedicated shelf space: each member will be assigned a generous shelf to securely store work and supplies.

    • Clay: while the cost of clay is not included in membership, members can purchase through the studio at market value, plus a minor fee ($5 per bag) for glazes and firing.

    • Glazes: Studio will provide commercial house clear and a small collection of glazes mixed in house.

    • Firing: For clay purchased through the studio, there is no additional firing cost.

    • Communal space: Members are invited to share in the use of communal spaces (cozy entryway and kitchenette).

  • Monthly clay studio membership is offered at a sliding scale of $150-$250 per month, with a minimum of three month commitment.
